Water Cooler Sanitising

All bottle water coolers require sanitizing on a regular basis, as the water purifier removes the unpleasant chemicals and chlorine, which were added to disinfect your water supply from bacteria and algae.

As would be expected, a little care is required to ensure that the water storage bottle and stainless steel reservoir are kept hygienically clean, just like you would keep any other culinary utensil clean. If these items become soiled with use, recontamination can occur. Bacterial contamination can occur from handling the bottle and flo-cap, as well as from the water contacting the air in the bottle, resulting in an algae growth building up (i.e. from air-borne bacteria).

It is recommended that bottle-type water coolers be cleaned and sanitised at least every 3 months to prevent recontamination occurring, or even 2 months in some situations. We follow a very strict cleaning and sanitising protocol; cleaning the cooler on the outside as well as the inside. The bottle is scrubbed inside with a brush specifically designed to remove any algal growth before it is sanitised, to obtain best results. Even though this process takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour, you are only charged per cooler, not an hourly rate.

With our scheduling system, we can come in on a regular basis to clean and sanitise your water cooler. You are only charged after each service (no fixed term contracts or forward payments are required).
