The CM-UVSS model is suitable for sterilising all the water to a whole farm or to multiple houses, including dairy sheds (bigger models available for larger farms, contact us for recommendations). Prefiltration is usually required to ensure that particulate matter does not shield micro-organisms from the UV light, with 20 micron being the recommended minimum. This unit can be supplied individually or can be supplied as a complete package with pre-filtration to suit your particular circumstances and water supply. Ultraviolet sterilisers are only designed to kill bacteria and will not eliminate any other contaminants in your water supply. If you require other contamiants to be removed from your water supply, such as tastes, odours, chemicals, etc. please contact us for a recommendation. Crystal Pure UV Systems are easy to install yourself (DIY) with simple inlet and outlet connections, or can be installed professionally by one of our installers at very reasonable rates. This unit will not restrict water flow as it passes throught the UV chamber. The only regular maintenance required is a lamp change once a year, which does not require turning the water off or dismantling of the unit and can be done yourself. An audible alarm will sound if the lamp fails and when the lamp is due for changing. The chamber incorporates a safe viewing chamber to determine if lamp is operating and optional circuitry is available to shut off a solenoid valve or pump in the event of lamp failure (prevents untreated water entering sterilised side of pipework).
