Crystal Pure^® CPHFRO140 Underbench Reverse Osmosis System

The Crystal Pure CPHFRO140 underbench reverse osmosis is by far the most popular model, as it fits neatly out of sight under the kitchen sink with a separate dispensing faucet on top of the bench. The unit is completely automatic, simply take water from the faucet and the unit refills the storage tank back up to its 11 litre storage capacity. This unit offers the highest purity of water available and only requires servicing on an annual basis.

The system consists of three purification elements in series, with the first cartridge being a sediment and chlorine removal filter, the second housing the RO membrane and the third an activated carbon cartridge to remove any remaining chlorine by-products such as chloroform or THM's. The RO membrane removes the majority of contaminants and can last up to 3 years if serviced annually. The storage tank has a removable rubber bladder for easy cleaning and sanitising, unlike some systems which have sealed tanks which can become unhygenic.

The storage tank can be placed up to 3 metres away from the purification unit, and can be placed on its side if cupboard space is a potential problem. The tank can also be placed under the house, if cupboard space is a concern.

This system is designed to be used on chlorinated water supplies only, however, the Crystal Pure CPHFRO140R system is available for use on non-chlorinated water. Please specify when ordering whether the unit is to be used on a chlorinated municipal water supply or a non-chlorinated rural water supply, in order to obtain the correct model. For water supplies with heavy dirt loadings we recommend using an additional pre-filter housing with a 1PS250 filter cartridge before the standard pre-filter.
