Crystal Pure^® CTMAC25 Countertop Water Purifier

The Crystal Pure CTMAC25 Countertop Purifier provides protection against Giardia and gives comprehensive control of chlorine, chemicals, trihalomethanes (THM's), pesticides, herbicides, and aluminium; which are found in most town water supplies.

The CTMAC25 comes complete with a 0.6-micron (nominal) high purity, acid washed, solid activated carbon block filter (MAC25). The life of the MAC25 filter is greatly extended by two layers of pre-filtration media consisting of a coarse 15-micron outer layer and a fine 5-micron inner layer.  Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, the solid extruded carbon filter will not channel or bypass due to the extreme uniformity of the extruded carbon core.

Aluminium is added to most town water supplies during treatment as part of the flocculation (dirt removal) process, however, not all of it is removed before the water leaves the treatment station.  Recent studies show that exposure to aluminium in drinking water may increase an individual's chances of developing Alzheimer's Disease.  While not designed specifically as a heavy metal reduction filter, the MAC25 will remove up to 85% aluminium (Tested by Massey University, NZ, 1995).

The CTMAC25 Countertop Purifier sits neatly on top of your sink bench, and is used by simply pushing a rubber push-on connector over your tap.  The rubber push-on connector fits most taps, however, we have a range of optional connections including diverters, which allows the purifier to stay connected to your tap for ease of use.  The CTMAC25 Countertop Purifier can be converted into an underbench model at a later date by using our underbench conversion kit.

• The MAC25 filter cartridge should only be used with microbiologically safe water, as it is not designed to kill or remove bacteria or viruses. 
• The MAC25 filter cartridge is not bacteriostatic and must be changed after 12 months, regardless of usage, as a bacterial growth may develop after this period.
• Actual filter life cannot be guaranteed, as it will depend on the quality of the water supply.
