Installation & Operating Instructions

Full do-it-yourself installation instructions are supplied with your underbench reverse osmosis. All pipes are labels for easy identification. If you should have any difficulty while installing your RO, you can always contact one of our trained technicians for advice or we can install it for you. Please see our customer service section for contact details.

We will flush your RO system before shipping or it can be done before final installation. Full running up instructions are included.

Each time the RO is used after the initial installation, it should be flushed for 5-10 seconds before taking the water. RO water should be used for all consumption water, including cooking and filling the kettle. Boiling of water DOES NOT remove contaminants.

The storage tank should be emptied once a week to keep the water fresh.

For use on cold water only and on municipally chlorinated tap water. You can use on "untreated" water, but note that this unit is not intended to disinfect! Untreated water requires a sediment prefilter.

If you have unusually high water pressure or water hammer, you should install a pressure reduction valve. VERY HIGH WATER PRESSURES DO OCCUR IN CERTAIN AREAS - BE WARNED! Water hammer can be caused by modern lever style taps, dishwashers and washing machines, and is usually heard as a knocking or banging sound when the tap or machine is turned off.

The RO system should be serviced annually which includes cleaning and sanitising the storage tank. The membrane needs to be backwashed and sanitised annually and the pre and post filters need changing on an annual basis. If serviced annually the membrane should last 3 years.
