Whole House & Drinking Water

This combination system consists of a whole house filter to remove dirt, sediment, Giardia and Cryptosporidium from all the water entering the house. A separate point of use filter is then installed in the kitchen for removal of chemicals, chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, tastes and odours from your drinking water.

1st Stage: IH500 Inline Housing with 1SW500 Filter 

All the water entering the house is filtered for dirt, sediment, solid particles, Giardia and Cryptosporidium, using the IH500 inline housing with a 1-micron filter (1SW500). This is the correct size housing and filter to handle the flow rate of a whole house.

The IH500 housing simply fits inline between the pump and the house. The 1SW500 filter cartridge is changed after 6 months or when a pressure drop is experienced through clogging. Please note that this first stage filter will not remove taste, odours, chemicals, etc. from the water entering the house, it is simply a partical filter, however the second stage will remove these other contaminants from your drinking water. 2nd Stage: Underbench Carbon Purifier UBMCT25 (or Countertop)

The second stage is the Crystal Pure UBMCT25 solid carbon block underbench purifier, which has excellent removal capabilities of any tastes, odours, chemicals, trihalomethanes (THM’s), pesticides, herbicides, sprays and fertilizers (Note Giardia and Cryptosporidium protection has already been gained through the first stage filter). The Crystal Pure UBMCT25 comes as a complete Do-it-yourself installation kit with step-by-step instructions.The MCT25 filter cartridge is changed after 1 year.

NOTE: If you suspect you have a bacterial contamination in your rainwater supply or you wish to safeguard yourself from any possible bacterial or viral contamination, we recommend you add an optional ultraviolet steriliser unit after the particulate filter.
