Crystal Pure^® UBOCK250 Inline Underbench Purifier

The Crystal Pure UBOCK250 is a complete Do-It-Yourself underbench water purifier capable of removing or reducing harmful contaminants from your drinking water such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium, chlorine, chemicals, pesticides and heavy metals for up to 2 years. The compact design allows it to be installed under the bench in less space than an aerosol can. The unique saddle tapping valve allows you to connect it to your cold water pipe without having to turn your water off.*  The separate purifier tap compliments any kitchen or bench design, with optional designer taps available.

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) has long been utilized to reduce impurities in potable water. It is widely recognized for its adsorption capacity plus its ability to reduce dissolved organics and chemicals such as chlorine. These and other impurities can cause undesirable taste, odor and color in water. The OCK250 model has a combination of acid-washed GAC and KDF® Heavy Metal Reduction Media. The GAC is effective in removal of chemicals such as chlorine, pesticides, tastes and odours. KDF® is a high purity alloy which eliminates contaminates from water by utilizing electrochemical oxidation reduction. KDF® removes harmful contaminants such as aluminium, lead, THM's, arsenic, cadmium, mercury and other inorganic compounds. KDF® also has the ability to kill algae and fungi; control bacterial growth, and is therefore deemed bacteriostatic. This gives you the peace of mind, knowing your filter will not be growing harmful bacteria after prolonged use. For the average family of four (two adults and two children) the OCK250 purifier cartridge should last up to 2 years before needing replacement.

All Crystal Pure "OC" Series cartridges feature a patented spring loading device that compresses the GAC and KDF® into a compact block, and maintains it under ideal pressure. This process eliminates channeling and provides an equal distance linear flow, thus ensuring supply water is thoroughly purified. The "OC" Series cartridges are manufactured without the use of glues or binders that can cause contamination. All of the high impact polypropylene components are ultrasonically welded together. A pre-filtration 5-micron disc helps prevent the cartridge blocking prematurely, by removing sand, dirt, rust and other solids.

• The OCK250 filter cartridge should only be used with microbiologically safe water, as it is not designed to kill or remove bacteria or viruses.
• Bacteriostatic means that while there is water sitting in the unit when you are not using it, bacterial growth within the unit will be inhibited to acceptable levels.
• Actual filter life cannot be guaranteed, as it will depend on the quality of the water supply, and can often be extended by use of a finer sediment removal filter prior to the OCK250 filter.
